Career Highlights: Colt Ford’s life story reads like the lyrics of one of his hit songs. A former professional golfer on the Nationwide Tour (under his given name Jason Brown), Ford is a musician and songwriter who combines the story-telling blend of country music with hip-hop rhythms. Ford has released six albums on his own Average Joes Entertainment label, with the most recent titled “Love Hope Faith.” That album was the follow-up to the 2014 “Thanks for Listening,” and 2012’s chart-topping “Declaration of Independence,” which remained on the Billboard Country Album chart for more than 58 weeks. Several of Ford’s albums have peaked in the Top 10 on the Billboard Country chart. Ford released his debut album, “Ride Through the Country,” in 2008. He co-wrote and recorded the song “Dirt Road Anthem” for his debut album, which was later released by Brantley Gilbert, who co-wrote the song, on his 2010 album “Halfway to Heaven,” and again by Jason Aldean on his album “My Kinda Party” also in 2010. Ford released his second album “Chicken & Biscuits” in 2010 followed by his third album “Every Chance I Get” in 2011.
