AMERICAN CENTURY INVESTMENTS “SOCIAL MEDIA PHOTO SHARING” CONTEST

OFFICIAL RULES

These Official Rules apply to the 2016 American Century Championship “Social Media Photo Sharing” Contest (this “Contest”) conducted by American Century Services, LLC (“Sponsor”), with these Official Rules available at americancentury.com. By entering this Contest, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules.

ELIGIBILITY: This Contest is offered to anyone who attends the 2016 American Century Championship Golf Tournament. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Unless specifically excluded as set forth in these Official Rules, any person who has provided the information required by these Official Rules and has entered the Contest within the timelines specified below (“Entrants”) shall be eligible to win one of the prizes set forth in the PRIZES section. There is no restriction on the number of times eligible entrants may enter the American Century Investments “Social Media Photo Sharing” Contest by completing the HOW TO ENTER guidelines below. However, entrants may only win one prize per person. Employees, officers, directors and their immediate family members of the Sponsor and their respective parents, affiliated and subsidiary companies, and advertising and promotion agencies (collectively, “Affiliates”), and any and all other companies associated with this Contest are not eligible to enter. For purposes of this Contest, “immediate family members” means parents, spouses, children, siblings, in-laws, grandmothers, or grandfathers. Members of the financial services industry should check with their compliance department before accepting a Prize, as described below. Void where prohibited.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE OF ANY PRODUCT OR SERVICE IS NOT REQUIRED TO ENTER THE CONTEST. In addition, opting out of further contact by Sponsor, via email, will not decrease your chances of winning.

TIME OF CONTEST: Contest begins at 8:00 a.m. Pacific Time (PST) on Thursday, July 21, 2016, and ends at 3:00 p.m. PST on Sunday, July 24, 2016.

HOW TO ENTER: An eligible person may enter the Contest by completing these three steps:

  1. Visit the Prosper photo booth inside the American Century Investments Prosper tent at the 2016 American Century Championship Golf Tournament. Have your photo taken and emailed to you as part of the Prosper photo booth registration process.
  2. Once you receive your American Century Investments Photo Sharing Contest photos by email, share them through your personal Facebook, Twitter or Instagram account. Use the hashtag #MyProsperity in the text of your post. Your post must be visible to the public and posted between 8 a.m. PST on Thursday, July 21, 2016, and 3:00 p.m. PST Sunday, July 24, 2016.
  3. Follow or like the American Century Investments account on the platform upon which your entry post was made.

Sponsor is not responsible for lost, mis-directed entries or entries not received in time for the random drawing. Use of any automated system (including, but not limited to, any bot, script, macro or a promotion entry service) to submit Contest entries is prohibited and will result in disqualification. Entries not actually received by Sponsor prior to the timeline specified above will not be eligible to win the Contest.

By submitting a Contest entry, you consent to be bound by the terms of our Privacy and Security Policy found at https://www.americancentury.com/en/legal/privacy.html. We do not sell your information. Under this policy, however, we may from time to time use your personal information to contact you by email. You may opt out from further communications.

                                              

PRIZES: Nineteen prizes will be awarded:

  • Four official American Century Championship golf bags, valued at $600 each.
  • One pair of tickets to the July 23 Tim McGraw concert at Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena, valued at $450
  • One pair of tickets to the July 24 Don Henley concert at Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena, valued at $230
  • Two Vessel backpacks, valued at $195 each
  • Two Vessel duffels, valued at $175 each
  • Two Vessel briefcases, valued at $175 each
  • One gold Vessel tote, valued at $175
  • Two Vessel Boston pebbled bags, each valued at $195
  • One Vessel shoe bag, valued at $85
  • Three Vessel toiletry bags, each valued at $58

Winners will be responsible for all taxes (federal, state, local and/or income) and all expenses related to acceptance and use of prizes. Prizes must be accepted in person at the American Century Investments Prosper Tent within the timeframes noted below, at which time the winners will take possession of their prizes. Sponsor is not responsible for delivery.

The terms and conditions of the tickets awarded as prizes will govern in the event the concert does not occur due to weather conditions, an act of God, an act of terrorism, civil disturbance or any other reason. Winner and his/her guest agree to comply with all applicable arena regulations in connection with the prize. Sponsor and the Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena reserve the right to remove or to deny entry to the winner and/or his/her guest who engages in a disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person at the concert. Sponsor will not be responsible for weather conditions, Acts of God, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, work stoppage or any other natural disaster outside their control that may cause the cancellation or postponement of any concert. Tickets awarded as prizes may not be resold or offered for resale. Any such resale may result in disqualification and prize forfeiture, and may invalidate the license granted by the concert tickets. The account will be awarded in the name of the winner as listed on the official entry form and is not transferable.

By participating, you agree to accept these rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, whose decisions are final and binding in all respects.

WINNER SELECTION: Winners will be randomly selected from all qualified entries on the dates, and at the times, listed below. All qualified entries received between July 21 at 8 a.m. PST and the date and time of drawing will be eligible. Drawings will be conducted by Sponsor, and Sponsor will have sole discretion to assign prizes.

  1. One Vessel briefcase. Drawing will be conducted July 21 at 10:00 a.m. PST. Winner will be notified by email or by private message or by Tweet, on the same social platform upon which the winning post was made, by 10:15 a.m. PST and must pick up this prize in person, at the American Century Investments Prosper Tent, by 12:00 p.m. PST.
  2. One gold Vessel tote. Drawing will be conducted July 21 at 12:00 p.m. PST. Winner will be notified by email or by private message or by Tweet, on the same social platform upon which the winning post was made, by 12:15 p.m. PST and must pick up this prize in person, at the American Century Investments Prosper Tent, by 2:00 p.m. PST on July 21, 2016.
  3. One Vessel duffel. Drawing will be conducted July 22 at 10:00 a.m. PST. Winner will be notified by email or by private message or by Tweet, on the same social platform upon which the winning post was made, by 10:15 a.m. PST and must pick up this prize in person, at the American Century Investments Prosper Tent, by 12:00 p.m. PST on July 22, 2016.   19. One Vessel Boston pebbled bag. Drawing will be conducted July 24 at 1:00 p.m. PST. Winner will be notified by email or by private message or by Tweet, on the same social platform upon which the winning post was made, by 1:15 p.m. PST and must pick up this prize in person, at the American Century Investments Prosper Tent, by 3:00 p.m. PST on July 24, 2016.

 

Winners will be notified by email (using the email address entered into the photo booth) or by private message using the social media platform upon which the winning entry was published upon. If you are notified by email, you will receive the email from social@americancentury.com. If that platform is Twitter, you will be notified through a tweet from @AmericanCentury that tags the Twitter account upon which the entry was made. If that platform is Instagram, the private message will come from @AmericanCentury. If that platform is Facebook, the private message will come from the American Century Investments Facebook page. Private messaging must be enabled on Winner’s social media account. The odds of winning depend on the number of valid entries received. The winner must visit the American Century Investments Prosper tent at the 2016 American Century Championship Golf Tournament by the assigned time to claim the prize. If the winner is ineligible to win as specified above, or does not claim his/her prize within the allotted time period, a second drawing for the prize will be held and the prize will be awarded to an alternate entrant. By accepting the prize, the winner acknowledges that Sponsor has not made and is not responsible for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied in fact or law, relative to the prize or any portion thereof. The winner further acknowledges by accepting the prize that Sponsor has not given any investment advice nor provided any investment research related to the granting of the prize.

CONDITIONS: Sponsor is not responsible for error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone, computer, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of, or failure of Sponsor to receive entry information for any reason whatsoever. Sponsor is also not responsible for any injury or damage to entrant’s computers or mobile devices related to or resulting from entering, viewing or downloading any materials or rules of the Contest. Sponsor is not responsible for entries that are late, lost, misdirected, or damaged. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel Contest in its entirety, if it becomes technically corrupted or because of non-authorized human intervention. Sponsor also reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual that Sponsor believes is violating these official rules or that is suspected of attempting to disrupt or defraud the entry process or the operation of the Contest. By entering, entrants (a) agree to these official rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and judges which shall be final in all respects; and (b) release Sponsor and its respective directors, officers and employees from any and all liability for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by their participation or resulting from acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of the prize. Noncompliance with the official rules will result in disqualification. Your posting of an eligible entry will be deemed to give Sponsor the right and full authority to publish your username and identify you as a winner.
